1. Bravo Media owns and runs various websites, including but not limited to best-of-bahrain.com, best-in-bahrain.com, and any part of them, (the “ Websites ”). A link to this privacy policy is included on the homepage of each of the Websites. Bravo Media respects the privacy of its users. This document explains how Bravo Media will use the information that you provide to us via the Websites. Bravo Media may amend this privacy policy from time to time. If Bravo Media does so, the revised privacy policy will be posted on the Websites.
These web sites contain links to other web site/s. This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of any companies or individuals that Bravo Media does not control, or any web site/s that you link to from any of the sites belongs to Bravo Media. You should use caution and review the privacy policies of any Site/s that you visit from ours to learn more about their information practices.
Please take a few moments to read this agreement. By accessing the Best-of-Bahrain Site/s, you agree to accept the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy and are aware that our policies may evolve in the future as indicated below.
2. Information collected. You are not required to provide personally identifiable information to visit the Websites; however, we do collect “Personally Identifiable Information,” such as your name, CPR number, age, gender, postal address, telephone number, e-mail address, or other information that can be used to contact you or identify you as an individual. Any of our web sites does not store your user name/s or password/s on our server. If you wish to utilize advanced features of the Websites, such bloging, classifieds, e-newsletter or message board utilization you need to create your own user name/s and password/s, hence storage of your name/s and password/s may be necessary.
3. Posting. Users of the Websites may post messages regarding various topics in the posting areas of the Websites. Such messages may be saved on our servers and may be accessible to the public. In addition, chats in a given Chat Room are saved on our servers as a chat log (a “ Chat History ”) and as the Chat History will be accessible to those who may include law officers and other authorities. Accordingly, to the extent that your message and/or any Chat History includes personally identifiable information, such information may be saved on our server/s and may be disclosed to the public in perpetuity.
4. Sharing of Information. Except as noted below, any of our sites does not share your Personally Identifiable Information with third parties unless you give us your permission.
We will disclose Personally Identifiable Information when required by law or under the good-faith belief that such disclosure is necessary in order to conform to applicable law, comply with subpoenas, court orders or legal process served on any of our web sites, to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims, and to protect the property or interests of our sites, its agents and employees, personal safety, or the public. Under such circumstances, Bravo Media may be prohibited by law, court order or other legal process from providing notice of the disclosure, and Bravo Media reserves the right to not provide such notice in its sole discretion. If we become part of another organization, including without limitation, by merger, change of control, sale of assets, or other acquisition, the acquiring organization will obtain and have access to the Personally Identifiable Information collected through/by/for our sites and it will assume the rights and obligations regarding your Personally Identifiable Information as described in this Privacy Policy. If we cease operation, your information may be transferred to and used by another company that offers similar or related products or services. While we cannot predict a great deal about such an unlikely event, we would hope this could provide you continuity of service.
Bravo Media reserves the right to send you certain communications relating to the Websites and the services offered thereby, such as service announcements and administrative messages, but we plan on doing so sparingly, if ever. In any case, we reserve the right to contact you regarding violation of this privacy policy, the Terms of Use, and any other violation of law or applicable regulations and policies.
Even if you choose not to receive information from us, we reserve
the right to communicate with you on matters we consider especially important.
5. Cookies. Our sites may use Cookies. Those Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer's hard drive by our servers to identify your computer to our servers. Except as provided in Section 5, below, no personally identifiable information stored in the Bravo Media cookies will be shared with outside companies for any purpose without your permission. You can also disable cookies or otherwise manage them through tools provided with your browser software and with third-party software packages, or not use the features that require Cookies.
We use information that is not personally identifiable to determine how people use our web site and its services. For example this data tells us information including how often users click on our advertisements, which files are downloaded most frequently, and which areas of our site are the most popular. Analyzing this data allows us to improve the offerings on and performance of our site/s. Using your IP address, we can also determine the general physical location of a user and may at times use this information to better target advertising to users.
We and our advertisers may use third-party companies to serve ads when you visit the Websites. These third-party ad-serving companies may also place Cookies on your computer. 6. IP Addresses. Bravo Media compiles logs of IP addresses of visitors to the Websites for administrative and analytical purposes. Bravo Media does not routinely collect any personally identifiable information through its compilation of IP address or the location of computers on the Internet. However, in cases of suspected abuse or service problems, Bravo Media may use an IP address in conjunction with other personally identifiable information to enforce our Terms of Use and/or to protect or troubleshoot the Websites, its users or others who may be affected.
Bravo Media may share data about aggregate IP addresses, but such data does not include personally identifiable information.
7. Notification of Changes. Any changes to this policy will be posted on the Websites in this location.
8. Links to Other Sites. The Websites contain links to and media and other content from other sites. In addition, such third-party media and content may also contain external links. Because of the dynamic media capabilities of the Websites, it may not be clear to you which links are embedded in the Websites and which are embedded in third-party media and/or content. Although Bravo Media requires our business partners and advertisers to adopt privacy policies similar to this privacy policy with respect to any information collected on the Websites, Bravo Media cannot and does not guarantee the privacy policies and practices of any third party. Bravo Media does not control, operate or endorse any information, products or services of any third-party websites that may be reached through links from the Websites. The use of any personal information provided to such a third party will be governed by that party's privacy policy.
9. Acceptance. This privacy policy is incorporated into and subject to the terms and conditions of Bravo Media's Terms of Use, available on the Websites. Use of the Websites and the services offered thereby is subject to your compliance with the Terms of Use, which constitutes a legal agreement between you and Bravo Media. Each time you use the Websites and the services offered thereby you signify that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by the Terms of Use, which incorporates the privacy policy, and the applicable posted guidelines. USE OF THE WEBSITES AND THE SERVICES OFFERED THEREBY SIGNIFIES THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE TERMS OF USE AND THE PRIVACY POLICY.
